LIAM MURRAY GAMES
Other Projects
Here is a short list of some of my other projects that I have worked on.
Apathetic
For this project our class was separated into groups, with each group being given one of the seven deadly sins, my group got "Sloth". We decided to make a game that embodies to act of doing very little and created a tower defense game, featuring creatures and animals that represent different aspects of a slothful person. This game was made in Unity, where I was one of two programmers.
The other team members were:
Matthew Hart - Artist
James Mayo - Programmer
Jenna Bidwell - Level Design

Rapid Prototyping
For this project, I had a module where I had to make a game with a set of restrictions, these restriction forced me to make a game focused around dimensional traveling. The idea of this module is to rapidly prototype and improve the game, so I focused on the game mechanics of changing the game from 2D to 3D, attempting to provide fluid movement between the two play styles while also giving the player the ability to rewind, freeze, and forward time. This was a solo project made in Unreal Engine 5.

CatName.exe
In this group project, we are tasked to create a game that would potentially be showcased and submitted into Tranzfuser, as a mock run of the event for those who want to partake after graduation. We settled on a game where you play as a cat inside of a computer, exploring puzzles and platforming to discover some of your background, revealing a sad but heartwarming story. This was a group project made in Unity where I was the lead programmer.
The other team members were:
Ethan Levitt: 3d artist
Jenna Bidwell: Level Design / UX/UI design
Thomas Holliday and Jasmine Greenwood: Narrative

Final Major Project
This is my FMP for my time studying at UEL, so I want this to showcase my main focus when it comes to games design, which is ideas, and the balanced and carefully thought out implementation of those ideas. In this project, I set out to create a story and a set of powers abilities for my own version of the Norse myth, Heimdall. I plan to 3D model and animate the character from scratch, to showcase him abilities and fighting style in a way that reflects him character in a satisfying way. While it is not my main priority of this project, I am also learning how to 3D model and animate human characters, which will help me in the future when coming up with more ideas, as I would better understand the process.
To help me model the character I commissioned some artwork from a friend, Matthew Hart, who with my guidance and ideas, designed a character I am very happy with.
(Please note that I am not a character artist, so my 3D modelling and animating skills are not comparable to those with that skill set, this project is purely to showcase my ideas for the character)
This project is still in production so there is no images or videos available yet.
